Basic Information on the Drug

Letrozole is a highly effective and selective non-steroidal aromatase inhibitor. By inhibiting estrogen synthesis, it is used in the treatment of breast cancer, primarily as adjuvant therapy for postmenopausal hormone receptor-positive breast cancer and in the treatment of advanced breast cancer.

According to a research report by Grand View Research, the global breast cancer drug market is projected to reach USD 37.6 billion by 2025 and USD 45 billion to USD 55 billion by 2030. Among this, aromatase inhibitors account for 38% of the global breast cancer drug market, and Letrozole, as a first-line therapeutic drug, maintains stable market demand.

In recent years, the incidence of breast cancer in China has been on the rise, and the demand for Letrozole API (Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient) is expected to grow continuously. Meanwhile, Beijing Yiling Bioengineering Technology Co., Ltd., a wholly-owned grandchild company of the Company, holds the approval for Letrozole Tablets (a pharmaceutical preparation). As a product included in the National Volume-Based Procurement (VBP) program, the integration of API and preparation production for Letrozole is expected to be realized this year, which will significantly enhance the market competitiveness of both the API and the preparation.

In addition, taking the domestic approval as an opportunity, the Company will accelerate the international registration and overseas sales of Letrozole API in accordance with its overseas development plan, further expanding into overseas markets such as Europe and the United States.

As of the present, the Company has accumulated a total R&D investment of approximately RMB 4.7 million in Letrozole API, covering processes such as process development, quality research, stability studies, and registration filing.
